A Special Dinner for Meg

On June 17th, 30-40 of Meg's co-workers descended upon Craig Hospital and took it over to throw Meg a wonderful dinner party on hospital grounds.  Speeches were made and Meg was presented with recognition, awards, and gifts.  Some were serious and some were just for fun.  In addition, Ray Mauzy had bracelets made for Meg that state, "I am SCI aware for Meg"; these were also presented to her at the party.  This party was given at a great time in her rehabilitation because it had been a very difficult week for Meg both emotionally and physically.   The party was a great ending to that week, and it was very motivating for Meg to see how much she is appreciated and respected by her friends and colleagues.  Moments like these give her the strength and confidence she needs to endure the difficult rehabilitation at Craig.  She endures it mostly with a smile and a determined attitude.  She continues to really enjoy the visits from co-workers.  She loves to "talk shop".  Please continue the visits and well wishes as these really boost her spirits.
